Cross-city soccer teams to face each other tonight in second round of playoffs

MADISON – Bob Jones and James Clemens girls soccer teams will face each other today in the second round of the Class 7A state playoffs.

Third ranked Bob Jones (14-4-4) defeated Grissom 3-1; and fifth ranked James Clemens (9-3-2) defeated Sparkman 1-0 on Tuesday. The wins set up the cross-city rivalry face-off to see who will advance to the Final 4.

The game tonight will be played at the Madison City Stadium on Celtic Road. Kick-off is at 7 p.m.

The Patriots boys soccer team will also advance to the second round. Bob Jones (13-9-4) defeated Huntsville (17-8-1) 2-1 on Tuesday. They will travel to Florence today for round two of the playoffs.
