Armed Forces Celebration Week starts today

Everyone is inviting in helping the greater Huntsville area and the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber celebrate our military during Armed Forces Celebration Week.

Starting today and continuing through Saturday, the week-long series of events will highlight the strong individuals who have faithfully served and continue to serve this wonderful country, and the civilian workers who support them.

This morning at 10:30 a.m., the AUSA “Iron Mike” Golf Tournament will take place at Valley Hill Country Club, and tonight at 6:30 p.m. the Armed Forces Celebration Concert in the Park will take place in Big Spring Park, in downtown Huntsville.

The Maneuver Center of Excellence Band, based out of Fort Benning, will perform at tonight’s concert. Fireworks will blast off at dark (weather permitting). Bring family and friends to enjoy this night out in Big Spring Park, with food trucks for plenty of delicious eats! The rain location for the concert is the VBC South Hall (please bring chairs), and if the decision is made to move the concert indoors, the fireworks will be canceled.

Other events this week include:
