MCS announces several staff hires and changes for new school year

MADISON – New personnel and position changes were announced Tuesday evening during the Madison City school board meeting.

The announcement included replacement assistant principals at Heritage Elementary and Discovery Middle, two additional school psychologists, a network specialist, system-wide elementary STEAM teachers, and a replacement Elementary Instruction Specialist. They are:

Nathan Wilson is leaving Mill Creek Elementary to become assistant principal at Heritage Elementary. He had been the assistant principal at Mill Creek since 2017.

Gerald Franks leaves his assistant principal post at Heritage Elementary to become assistant principal at Discovery Middle.

Two new school psychologists join the Madison City Schools team: Amy Witty (2nd from left) and Ashley Partridge (center).

Wendy Pharo, reading coach at Heritage Elementary, is the new Elementary Insruction Specialist for Madison City Schools. She replaces Nichole Phillips, who now heads the Madison City Schools PreK Center.
