“Legally Blonde – The Musical” was created in 2007 with music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin and book by Heather Hach. The novel “Legally Blonde” by Amanda Brown and the subsequent 2001 movie are the basis for the musical.

The musical revolves around Elle Woods, a sorority girl who enrolls in Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend Warner. She discovers that her knowledge of the law can help others, and Elle successfully defends a celebrity in a murder trial. Although no one believes in Elle, she surprises them when she exceeds everyone’s expectations while staying true to herself.

This summer, show dates for “Legally Blonde – The Musical” will be July 10-12 and July 15-19 at Lee High Theatre – Main Stage in Huntsville.
