I-65 night resurfacing to resume April 5

HUNTSVILLE — The Alabama Department of Transportation advises motorists that Wiregrass Construction will resume work Sunday, April 5, on the Interstate 65 resurfacing project in Limestone County between milepost 339 (north of the Tennessee River Bridge) and Exit 251 (U.S. 72 in Athens).

Work will be conducted nightly from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday evenings through Friday mornings. Please drive with caution in the work zone and be prepared to merge due to single-lane closures.

The nearly $15.3 million project will resurface 12.4 miles of interstate. Completion is anticipated later this year.
