James Clemens Has Three Football Players Sign Scholarships

MADISON-

James Clemens defensive back D.J. Holden signed an athletic scholarship to play college football for Lindsey Wilson College located in Columbia, Ky. The Raiders play in the NAIA and look to Holden’s play at defensive back to bolster their defense. The 5-8, 140-pound Holden led the Jets to an 8-3 season in 2020.

James Clemens offensive tackle Micah Pettus signed an athletic scholarship with the Southeastern Conference Ole Miss Rebels. Pettus moved into the James Clemens area when the 2020 season was already underway, but showed significant success while leading the Jets to an 8-3 record and a spot in the Class 7A playoffs. Pettus, at 6-foot-7, 310-pounds, helped lead the offense to over 31 points per game.

Chance Starling of James Clemens signed to play football at New Mexico Military Institute. Located in Roswell, the Broncos play in the junior college division. The 5-11, 200-pound Starling played linebacker for the Jets who were 8-3 with a first round playoff appearance in 2020. He helped lead a defense that allowed just 21 points per outing.
