MADISON – Cary Sadler, a 28-year veteran employee with the City of Madison, has retired.

Sadler had reached the rank of Deputy Chief and Fire Marshal with the Madison Fire and Rescue Department, according to Terri Towry, Director of Human Resources for the city.

A graduate of Bob Jones High School, Sadler earned a bachelor’s degree from Columbia Southern University. He was hired by the City of Madison to work as a firefighter in January 1992.

In May 1996, Sadler was promoted to work as a driver in the fire department. He transferred to work as inspector in December 2001.
