SO says arrest linked to several vehicle burglaries in Madison County

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office said they arrested suspect linked to several recent vehicle burglaries. MCSO said Thursday investigators arrested and charged John Brian Alverson, 43, for Theft of Property 1st (motor vehicle) and Burglary 3rd.

The sheriff’s office stated deputies observed a stolen vehicle in the Hazel Green area after a citizen complained of a suspicious vehicle being seen in the area. “Deputies turned around on the vehicle and the suspect bailed out of the vehicle and ran into the woods. A short time later the suspect was found at a residence on Crystal Creek Drive.”

MCSO said the arrest is also linked to several vehicle burglaries in the Riverton and Winchester Road areas in Madison County. More charges are expected.
