St. John Virtual Gala 2021 adapts for new venue but keeps traditional fun

MADISON – The St. John 2021 Virtual Gala will reprise the fun and good times for the 22nd year but with a different venue for experiencing the light-hearted evening.

Gala chairpersons encourage guests to dress in their favorite “pandemic pajamas — or black tie” and join the party for an entertaining evening on March 6. Tickets include a delicious, gourmet charcuterie box from It’s All Gouda and a bottle of wine or sparkling juice to enjoy while watching the livestreamed program.

Guests will pick up the charcuterie and wine at St. John’s on March 6 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. For an additional fee, guests can join the St. John’s community as The Wine Cellar leads a wine tasting at 6 p.m. The gala officially opens at 7 p.m.

Each year, the silent auction offers an array of popular merchandise and luxury items, and this year will keep that tradition. The auction will open on March 5. The gala on March 6 will conclude with the drawing for the $10,000 raffle.

The event is critically important for students at St. John the Baptist Catholic School for the proceeds of approximately $100,000 that it provides to support the school’s budget, special projects and scholarship funding. The gala is open to all guests who are at least 21 years old.

Sponsorships also are available. Visit stjohnb.ejoinme.org/sponsorships.

To buy tickets, visit stjohnb.ejoinme.org/purchase. Tickets include the charcuterie box (with two cheeses, one meat, fruit, nuts, crackers, hummus, veggies or olives and cornichons), one bottle of white or red wine, access to the livestream program starting at 7 p.m. and silent auction.

An individual ticket is $50. Couples tickets are $80 and include a deluxe version of the charcuterie assortment.

Guests can pick up auction items on March 7 at St. John the Baptist Catholic School, 1055 Hughes Road in Madison. To contact event chairs, email chairs@benefitgala.info.
