COVID hospitalizations remain steady, but still high, at Madison Hospital
MADISON – The number of COVID patients at Madison Hospital has remained higher than usual today, and across other North Alabama hospitals operated by Huntsville Hospital Health Systems.
In the latest numbers released by Huntsville Hospital (HH), 143 patients have COVID throughout their system — up from 129 two days ago. That is 65 more since this time last week. Forty-six of those are in ICU with 13 on ventilators. This includes hospitals in Madison, Limestone, Morgan, Colbert and Franklin counties.
In Madison County alone, there are 73 patients with COVID at HH facilities, with 19 of those at Madison Hospital where six are in ICU and one is on a ventilator. Two days ago, Madison Hospital reported 16 COVID patients with five in ICU.
There are 18 patients in ICU throughout Madison County, with seven on ventilators.
