Glow Run 5K results in $80K for Downtown Rescue Mission

HUNTSVILLE – A resounding number of runners, event supporters and sponsors led the Glow Run 5K to outstanding returns for the Downtown Rescue Mission.

The staff and volunteers at the rescue mission have extended a loud “Thank you!” to all Glow Run runners and sponsors. The event raised more than $80,000 for the mission.

Mission employees were overwhelmed by the community’s generosity and the approximate 1,600 people who signed up to participate. Some of the rescue mission’s residents ran the race, which was meaningful to the residents to see the large number of people who came out to share their support.

Sponsors for the 2021 Glow Run were instrumental in the event’s success:

* Gold Sponsors — Edward Jones financial services.

* Silver Sponsors – Capstone Realty / Darrin Hasley & Associates; LINE-X bedliners and protective coverings; SUMMIT7 cloud security and compliance; Teledyne Brown Engineering; i3 Cares (foundation associated with the technology solutions company); whitespace innovations inc. for business consulting; and Foundation 1781 charitable organization.
