Jets remain undefeated with Region 4 win over Grissom

MADISON – The sixth-ranked James Clemens Jets confidently put away Grissom Thursday night in a Class 7A Region 4 matchup to remain undefeated. The Jets (8-0, 5-0) racked up all 31 points by halftime on way to a 31-13 win.

Aaron Rowe opened the scoring for the Jets with a field goal early in the first quarter. A few minutes later, Gio Lopez completed a 31-yard touchdown pass to Tyrik Walker, followed by a Rowe PAT.

The second quarter was a runaway for the Jets with Lopez passing a 10-yard touchdown pass to Kobe Johnson and a 45-yarder to Walker. That was followed with an interception by Jamal Mayers, which set up a 23-yard run into the endzone by Dante Snodgrass to close out the half.

The Jets will travel to Sparkman (3-3, 3-1) next week for another key Class 7A, Region 4 matchup.
