SO makes arrest in connection to catalytic converter thefts

MADISON COUNTY – The Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MSCO) said they made an arrest this week in relation to area catalytic converter thefts.

According to the MCSO, an unknown male subject was found Monday afternoon underneath a vehicle removing the catalytic converter off a vehicle ina gas station oarking lot. It occured at the Liberty Gas Station located at 11664 Hwy 231 in the Meridianville area. Sheriff’s deputies responded and reports were generated and assigned to investigators.

A suspect, John David Myrick, 53, was arrested Tuesday and charged with Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Vehicle and Criminal Mischief 2nd degree with bonds totaling $21,000.
