Jets’ Darren Verhage Signs Football Scholarship

MADISON- James Clemens senior Darren Verhage signed an athletic scholarship to play football for the Cumberland University Phoenix. The 6-foot-2, 265-pound defensive and offensive lineman for the 2021 Jets was recruited as a left guard and center on offense. Verhage played in the Offense/Defense West Coast All-American Bowl in Los Angeles playing every snap of the game on both offense and defense. He will carry a 3.9 grade point average along with a 27 on his ACT to the NAIA school located in Lebanon, Tenn. He is the son of Victor Verhage. Photo Contributed
