Sparkman All-State Athlete Signs Scholarship- Calen Lightford To Play College Basketball

HARVEST- Sparkman senior Calen Lightford signed a scholarship to play college basketball for Wise College of Virginia. The 5-foot-11, guard was a Third Team All-State selection in 2022 where he averaged 17 points, four assists, and two steals per game. He hit on 41-percent of his attempted 3-point shots and 80-percent of free throws in the just competed season. “Grateful for the opportunity to continue to play basketball at the next level, said Lightford. He’s expected to contend for a starting spot on the Cavaliers squad that plays in the South Atlantic Conference.
