Emmah Rolfe Earns Athlete Of The Week Honor- Pitches Perfect Game

MADISON- The rousing adventures continued in the life of Bob Jones senior softball player Emmah Rolfe as she was recently selected as the Alabama High School Athletic Association Athlete of the Week. The multi-talented Auburn signee earned the award after an astonishing week of play that most high school softball players can only dream of.

Leading the Class 7A sixth ranked Lady Patriots during the recent spring break, Rolfe recorded a save, combined with a teammate to toss a no-hitter and took to the pitcher’s mound as a starter and tossed a perfect game.

At the annual Gulf Shores Classic, Rolfe tossed a perfect game in the Patriots’ hard-fought 1-0 win over Station Camp, Tenn. The flame-throwing right hander mowed down all 21 batters including 14 by strikeout.

In the following Classic contest, Rolfe combined with teammate A.J. Vineski for a no-hitter against Tuscaloosa County. Bob Jones won the game 9-0.

Arriving back home with a host game versus Class 6A No. 2 ranked Hartselle, Rolfe and Charlotte Herron belted back-to-back homers in the sixth inning to take a 5-4 lead. In the seventh, Rolfe came on in relief, stepped on the mound to earn the save and a huge victory over the highly regarded Lady Tigers.
