Annual N2Hoops Tournament Tips-Off Holiday Season

MADISON- The field is set and the excitement building for the seventh annual N2Hoops Invitational scheduled for Nov. 21-23 at Bob Jones High. Sponsored by the law firm Martinson and Beason, the three-day event will again feature 16 of the top boys high school basketball teams in the immediate area plus teams from both Georgia and Mississippi.

“We expect another great atmosphere and some exciting match-ups this year,” said Luther Tiggs, Tournament Director and head coach of the Bob Jones basketball program. “Our goal is to have a variety of teams from different regions to see different styles of play. If you have success in this tournament, you have to feel good about your success with your team moving forward.”

The tourney will be loaded with college prospects with numerous college coaches in attendance. Teams who captured Area and Regional Championships, as well as, Final Four appearances will be among the squads hitting the two gym floors at Bob Jones.

Defending champion Sparkman won its championship trophy by sliding by Mae Jemison 65-56 in overtime. The Senators’ victory featured coming back from an eight-point second half deficit. Sparkman has declined its invitation to play in defense of its title, which means a new champion will be crowned at the title game scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23.

Admission will be $10 per day and tickets must be purchased via S2pass. A limited number of reserved sideline seating will be available. For details and to reserve special sideline seating, contact Tiggs at 256-783-1581.

The field for the 2022 N2Hoops Invitational includes two state runner-up squads and one Final 4 team, plus others which captured its Area Championship. Individual players expected to play include a bevy of Div. 1 prospects and others who are highly sought-after elite talents.
