Athens Buc-ee’s to open Nov. 21

The new Buc-ee’s travel center in Athens will open at 6 a.m. Nov. 21 — during the week of Thanksgiving travel — at the southeast corner of Interstate 65 and Huntsville Brownsferry Road.

It will be the first Buc-ee’s location in north Alabama and third in the state. The new travel center is 53,470 square feet and has 120 fueling stations. The center will supply 250 new jobs.
