Delta Sigma Theta plans exciting evening with ROUGE – A Go Red Event

HUNTSVILLE – A night for fashion, friends and fundraising will fill the evening at “ROUGE – A Go Red Event,” sponsored by the Central North Alabama Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

The event will focus on and celebrate women’s heart health. “Cardiovascular disease is the no. 1 killer of women. ROUGE advocates for women’s heart health, (along with) awareness for women and men,” Terry Green said. Green serves as Chapter President of Delta Sigma Theta.

“Please join us for ROUGE, an unforgettable, entertaining and inspiring ‘Go Red’ event, that will feature a Red Dress Fashion Show with our own community leaders and professionals modeling for the cause,” Green said.

ROUGE will open at 6 p.m. and continue to 10 p.m. on Feb. 11 at The Jackson Center, 6001 Moquin Drive NW in Huntsville. Appropriate attire will be ‘red cocktail.’ “Gentlemen, let’s see you in your red tie and pocket square. Join us for the night,” Green said.

All event proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association and the programs of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

The fashion show features community leaders as models and heart health advocates. ROUGE models will be Patricia Adams, Dr. Sraya Chirumamilla, Ariana Fletcher, Miranda Frost, Judge Takisha Gholston, Margo Gray, Terry Green, Ovetta Hobson, Lemesia Pearson Howard, Esq., Kim Caudle Lewis, Tonnesha M. Lewis, Benita L. Owens, Jackie Perry, Dr. Beth B. Richardson, Dr. Sheila Nash Stevenson, Shenna ‘LashayB’ Townsend, Sharonda Ware, Dr. Audra Watkins, LTC Amanda Watkins and Nakell Williams.

“Be ready to be inspired and celebrate your new commitment to a better way of life,” Green said. “ROUGE is guaranteed to be an exquisite night of fashion, food and fun, so get your tickets now.”

In addition to the fashion show, ROUGE will feature a silent auction, music and dancing, along with drinks and a meet-and-greet session with the models.
