“Don’t Mess with Madison” hosting public meeting on city manager issue April 10

The Don’t Mess with Madison PAC will host a public meeting at the Madison Public Library on April 10 regarding the City of Madison’s upcoming special election on a change of governance.

Madison citizens will decide in the upcoming special election on May 9 whether to change their form of government from a mayor-council form to a council-appointed city manager form.

“We provide an opportunity for citizens to learn more about this transition, find out what we don’t know, and what it could mean for citizens,” stated a press release from Don’t Mess with Madison. “We encourage all Madison residents to attend and find out more information so they can vote with confidence in the upcoming election.”

Don’t Mess with Madison has been in favor of leaving the current form of government in place with an elected mayor overseeing the operations of the city.

When: Monday, April 10
Where: Madison Public Library, 130 Plaza Blvd. Madison, AL 35758 (behind the Hughes Road
Lawler’s)
Time: 6:00-7:00 pm
