Madison Street Festival to open vendor applications on May 15

MADISON – To prepare for the 41st festival, vendors can access applications on May 15 for the 2023 Madison Street Festival or MSF.

The application for a vendor to participate in the festival goes live on May 15 at 8 a.m. on the MSF website, madisonstreetfestival.org/vendors. This webpage has all pricing and requirements for 2023. Registration for vendors will end on July 15th OR when an area reaches full capacity.

Individuals must complete vendor registration for Artist Alley, Crafters Cove, food sales, Business Showcase, Community Showcase and the parade.

Parade registration will remain open until Sept. 15. To register, visit the “Parade” tab on the MSF, madisonstreetfestival.org.

“The Madison Street Festival is excited to open the application process for vendors to apply to participate in our 2023 festival on Oct. 7, 2023,” MSF President Crystal McBrayer said. “As an organization, we are grateful for the support that businesses give to MSF each year, and we cannot wait to see who will participate to make our 2023 festival amazing for our community.”

“In 2022, we had record numbers in our vendor areas, so a vendor needs to fill out an application for consideration early rather than later. The estimated number of people in 2022 was 40,000,” McBrayer said.

Because of sponsors, vendors and donations, MSF does not charge for admission, and activities are free. “After the festival is complete, MSF takes all the profits after hosting the event, start-up cost for the next year’s festival and gives the balance of money back to our community through our grant program,” McBrayer said.

“Our mission as a 501(c)3 non-profit is to support students of all ages and abilities by providing access to education and educational programs,” McBrayer said. Grants accomplish this goal. “After our 2022 festival, we were able to give 16 grants to educational programs in our community.”

MSF offers many ‘fun areas,’ including arts and crafts, exhibits, demonstrations, entertainment, various food vendors, community parade, information vendors, sponsor row and a children and teen’s area with numerous amusements.

The Business Showcase will have not-for-profit and for-profit businesses, organizations or groups. A booth can provide only information about a business or organization, or individuals can offer products for sale.

“Review the application process and acceptance for the Community Showcase before completing an application,” McBrayer said. “Only two vendors of the same type will be approved.”

MSF received the silver award for “Best Non-Profit Business of the Year” from Madison Chamber of Commerce for 2022. In recognition from Madison Visionary Partners, Crystal McBrayer earned the silver award for Community Volunteer of the Year.

“Come spend the day with us on the first Saturday in October from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.,” McBrayer said.
