Chess league players vie in ChessKid.com tourney

MADISON – Members of Madison City Chess League recently entered and played in the tenth anniversary of the Online Rapid Tournament on ChessKid.com.

Andrew Yang at Bob Jones High School won first place. Holland Lang at Discovery Middle School earned a second-place score. Samuel Liao from Madison Elementary School and Dennis Lenski from Rainbow Elementary School reached a third-place tie.

In a ‘rapid game,’ the thinking times of approximately 15 to 60 minutes are per player per game. The usual thinking times are 15, 20 or 30 minutes.
