Madison man among nine arrested on child exploitation charges

A Madison man is among nine suspects who allegedly attempted to solicit law enforcement officers posing as children. They were arrested in a joint operation between the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office and the Athens Police Department.

The following men are each charged with attempting to commit a crime (first-degree human trafficking), electronic solicitation of a child, and traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and are or were being held on $200,000 bonds, according to the Sheriff’s Office:

• Barry Louvert Knight Jr., 23, of Madison

• Cederick Lamar White, 40, of Athens

• Ladi Antiono Hernandez, 26, of Indian Town, Florida

• Enrique Marquez Hipolito, 23, of Decatur

• Raul Aguilar Martinez, 36, of Decatur

• Brandon Lee Smith, 28, of Prospect, Tennessee

• Daevid Marcelius Williams, 34, of Huntsville

• Jakobe Ray Field, 22, of Muscle Shoals

• Trinton Obryan Bouldin, 19, of Huntsville ($201,000 bond)

The Sheriff’s Office said the accused found their undercover officers through chat rooms, social media apps such as Snapchat, and other online portals.

“These offenders agreed to pay to engage in sexual acts with children and then traveled to designated locations in Limestone County to commit these sex crimes,” the Sheriff’s Office said.

If you suspect someone may be a victim of human trafficking, the Sheriff’s Office recommends informing local law enforcement or the National Human Trafficking Hotline: 1-888-373-7888.
