Madison Chamber of Commerce members to consider board nominees

MADISON – Members of Madison Chamber of Commerce are considering the slate of nominees for the 2025-2026 Board of Directors.

“We have reached our 10day notice, and no petitions for new board members have been filed,” Chamber President Michelle Epling said. “The Madison Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is pleased to present the 2025-2026 Board of Directors slate of nominees.”

“As per our by bylaws, the slate of nominees was presented and approved by the Board of Directors,” Chamber Nominating Chair Jeremy Gaertner said. The election began on Aug. 21 to give members in good standing two weeks to cast votes digitally or by mail.

To vote online, use “CLICK HERE” in the email message that members received (or visit cognitoforms.com/Madison-ChamberOfCommerce/MadisonChamberBoardSlateElec-tionForm.)

On the election form, review the slate of nominees. Then, below the heading “Accept Full Slate,” click “Yes” to approve all nominees, or click “No” to avoid approving all nominees. Type any message about the nominees in the “Comments” box. Click “Submit.”

Another option is to vote by (postal) mail to the chamber office at 230 Hughes Road, Suite C, Madison, AL 35758.

Voting deadline is Sept. 3. Members will vote on four individuals for the board:

• Jessica Luther — Newly recommended. She works as External Affairs Specialist for Mazda Toyota Manufacturing or MTM and manages media and government relations, community engagement and MTM’s Social Innovation Strategy.

An Ohio native, Luther graduated from Ohio University and then worked as a freelance writer/editor in Toledo, Ohio. Luther won the Touchstone Excellence in Journalism Award from Press Club of Toledo in 2008.

Luther moved to Huntsville and served as Managing Editor of “EVENT” magazine. Next, she worked as Director of Development at Heart of the Valley YMCA. She lives in Madison.

• Grant Baker — Recommended for second three-year term. He is Engineering Manager for Toyota North America. He has managed engineering groups and worked for five years in Japan with Japanese Toyota Production System.

Baker graduated from the University of Kentucky. He and his wife, Chiharu ‘Lulu,’ are parents of a daughter and a son.

• Jamie Koshofer – Recom- mended for second three-year term. He works as Vice President of Conventions with Huntsville/Madison County Convention and Visitors Bureau. Koshofer negotiates with meeting planners to bring professional gatherings to Huntsville and Madison.

Koshofer and his wife, Katie, are parents of three children.

• Lee Shaw — Recommended for second three-year term. Shaw works as Development Office Coordinator for Madison City Schools. She formerly was Business Development Manager for Hospice Family Care.

Her civic resume includes Executive Vice President, Junior League of Huntsville; board member of United Cerebral Palsy of Huntsville and Madison Chamber of Commerce; and graduate of Leadership Focus program, Class 40. Lee and husband Paul’s children are Jack and Elizabeth.
