Madison Chamber of Commerce celebrates growth, awards and grand opening of its new headquarters
MADISON – The Madison Chamber of Commerce had plenty of reasons to celebrate yesterday. The official grand opening of its new headquarters on Hughes Road was held, marking a milestone in the chamber’s growth and its commitment to serving the Madison business community.
Over the past four years, the chamber has grown from 259 members to more than 500 members, reflecting the dynamic economic development in Madison and the chamber’s focus on creating opportunities for business leaders, entrepreneurs, and community partners. The new 4,200-square-foot office space includes coworking areas, collaborative meeting rooms and an interactive tourism corner designed to welcome visitors and showcase all that Madison has to offer. This is a huge milestone in the 32-year history of the Madison Chamber, moving from a 900-square-foot office to a 4,200-square-foot office and coworking space.
“This new space is more than just an office—it’s a reflection of our mission to Celebrate, Inspire and Connect the Madison business community,” said Michelle Epling, President of the Madison Chamber of Commerce. “We are proud of how far we’ve come and grateful for the partnerships that made this possible.”
In addition to the chamber’s expansion, Epling has been recognized nationally and regionally for her leadership. She has received the Chamber Champion Award from the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama in 2024 as the most influential up and coming Chamber President in the industry in the state of Alabama. Epling also serves on the Finance and Operations Advisory Committee for the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) and has completed the U.S. Chamber’s Institute for Organization Management (IOM) program—one of the nation’s premier leadership training experiences for chamber professionals.
The chamber’s success has also been fueled by strong partnerships with local, state and federal leaders, their support underscores the importance of fostering economic growth, advocating for small businesses, and ensuring Madison continues to thrive as one of Alabama’s fastest-growing cities.
The Grand Opening Ceremony was held with a ribbon-cutting, remarks from local and regional leaders and a community celebration. The event also featured a special recognition of past and present board members whose vision and dedication have shaped the chamber’s path forward.
“This is only the beginning,” added Epling. “With our new home, strong partnerships and engaged membership, the Madison Chamber is poised to drive growth and prosperity for years to come.”
