Beltone to host the Sizzlin’ Senior Tailgate Party on Oct. 3

HUNTSVILLE – Senior citizens can enjoy the “Sizzlin’ Senior Tailgate Party” on Friday, Oct. 3. Beltone Hearing Aid Center is sponsoring the free event.

The party will start at 11 a.m. and run until 1 p.m. in Beltone’s parking lot at 2745 Bob Wallace Ave. SW in Huntsville. Party guests can enjoy complimentary hot dogs, chips and soft drinks, according to Beltone Vice President Robin H. Watson.

Beltone encourages party guests to dress in the appropriate colors and team logos to build the tailgate spirit. L & B Entertainment will provide live music for the party.

Special guest for the tailgate party will be Sonja Enfinger, who is the reigning Ms. Senior Huntsville. Guests will have chances to win more than 20 giveaways, valued at $400-plus.

Numerous businesses will attend to explain services to the tailgaters:

* Health care at home – Preferred Care at Home, Gentiva Hospice, Southerncare New Beacon Hospice, Amedisys Home Health, Independent Home Medical Equipment.

* Options for health care – Southeastern Healthcare Solutions; Steady for Life; Partner Co., Wellness; Oak Street Health; Encompass Health Rehabilitation.

* Financial services – Edward Jones – Stephanie Henson; Community Insurance Partners.

* Lifestyle assistance – Chefs for Seniors, Senior Alliance, Gracefully Aging, Southeast Family YMCA, Monark Grove, Smart Spaces, Studio 60 – Senior Center, Alabama Lifeplan Respite.

Beltone welcomes other wellness partners to attend and have a free lunch. Beltone is hosting the tailgate as a fundraiser to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association walk in November.

Hearing care professionals take the time to get to know you to ensure personalized care tailored to you every time. We’re here for you whenever and wherever you need help,” Watson said.
