Madison Visionary Partners works to bring community to the table for a shared meal and music on Nov. 9

Madison Visionary Partners (MVP) invites the community to come together this weekend for Gather Madison, a free outdoor lunch celebrating connection, kindness and community.

The event will take place this Sunday, Nov. 9, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Homeplace Park in Downtown Madison.

Guests will enjoy a hearty Southern-style meal featuring chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, green beans, potato salad, rolls and dessert, all served at one long communal table. Live music by The Drive-In Mondays will perform as residents of Madison come together to share a meal.

“The timing couldn’t be more meaningful. As the community feels the ripple effects of the government shutdown and the temporary pause of SNAP benefits, MVP is preparing to welcome residents to Gather Madison for a free, shared meal,” said MVP Executive Director Christina Hearne.

While the event is free to attend, Gather Madison will serve as a fundraiser for Madison Visionary Partners (MVP), the city’s community nonprofit dedicated to enriching the quality of life for all who live, work and play in Madison. Proceeds from sponsorships will support MVP’s initiatives that make a lasting impact on the community.

Event Date: Sunday, Nov. 9

Location: Homeplace Park, Downtown Madison

Time: 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
