Arts Huntsville and The Orion Amphitheater to host Christkindlmarket Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE – Arts Huntsville and The Orion Amphitheater announce the return of Christkindlmarket Huntsville, a free community event, for its fourth annual celebration. Presented by Redstone Federal Credit Union, this distinctive holiday market blends German and European Christmas traditions with local flair. The market will feature over 60 juried artists alongside a blend of seasonal food, drinks, and music at The Orion Amphitheater, running Dec. 12, 13, and 14.

Christkindlmarket Huntsville offers shoppers a unique shopping experience and the opportunity to find one-of-a-kind holiday gifts, including handcrafted ornaments, decorations, jewelry, and apparel. Artwork offered by the juried professional artists includes painting, drawing, mixed media, clay, glass, jewelry, fiber, photography, sculpture, and wood.

New to the market this year is a MidCity District Specialty Food Market. This mini-pop up market will feature some of the best loved foods and treats from its weekly Sunday markets. Additionally, Yellowhammer brewing will be bringing its authentic German beers to enjoy.

“Arts Huntsville is proud to partner once again with The Orion Amphitheater for Christkindlmarket Huntsville,” said Arts Huntsville Executive Director Allison Dillon-Jauken. “This special holiday event provides an exceptional platform for regional artists to showcase unique, handcrafted gifts, while offering the community a perfect setting to gather and celebrate the spirit of the season.”

In addition to shopping, Christkindlmarket Huntsville will feature live, local music performances presented by the Huntsville Music Office. Performances will include various acts, including saxophone, harp, and violin soloists, carolers, and more. A full list of performers and performance times can be found on the Arts Huntsville website.

Holiday art and music can be enjoyed throughout the three-day market. Christkindlmarket Huntsville will be open to the public:

• Friday, Dec. 12: 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

• Saturday, Dec. 13 and Sunday, Dec. 14: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The market is free to attend with free onsite parking. The Orion Amphitheater will offer a special selection of Bavarian food, drink, and treats available for purchase. The Orion Amphitheater is located at 701 Amphitheater Dr NW, Huntsville, Ala. 35806.
