Wellness Center at Madison Hospital to close in January
MADISON – The Wellness Center at Madison Hospital will close its operations on Jan. 4, 2026 so the facility can be converted into an outpatient center for the rapidly growing Madison community.
Mary Lynne Wright, President of Madison Hospital, said, “We know this is disappointing news for our members, but the growth in our community’s population requires us to take significant steps to address their health care needs now and in the future.”
She said that her team was working to help identify alternative fitness opportunities for wellness center members. Information on other options, including the Madison YMCA, will be available at the wellness center. She said that programs, like the Parkinson’s class, will continue to be offered at a different location in Madison.
When renovations are completed on the facility, Wright said it would offer advanced imaging (MRI, CT and ultrasound), pharmacy, cardiac testing, cardiac and pulmonary rehab, and Breast Center.
There will be no layoffs as a result of this closure; and this decision does not impact the Wellness Center in Jones Valley.
