Trash Pandas ready for seventh season in Madison

MADISON – The numbers 26-2033-11-6-5 could be for a winning lottery ticket, but in reality, those are the numbers corresponding to the promotional highlights for the 2026 season for the Rocket City Trash Pandas, as the area’s only professional baseball team gear up for its seventh season at Toyota Field.

Front office personnel have been and continue to be busy in arranging for what looks to be the most exciting season to date. The newest season will have first pitch on Friday, April 3 to open a three-game home series with the regular season running the scope until Sept. 13.

Besides the great baseball on the beautifully groomed playing field, the Trash Pandas take pride in hosting superb fan-friendly promotions and special events which leads to the corresponding numbers listed among the promotion highlights: 26- fireworks nights; 20- giveaways; 33- theme nights; 11- special appearances; 6- specialty jersey auctions; 5- bobble heads.

Though the season is still two months away, those in the know indicate this is a perfect time to scour the season or weekly promotions on deck and find your favorites. The season’s weekly promotions include: Tuesdays- Tail Waggin’ Tuesday; Wednesdays- Wine Wednesday; Thursdays- Throwback Thursdays; Fridays & Saturdays- Fireworks; Sundays- Player Autographs & Kids Run The Bases.

For those more interested in the enormous networking and socializing opportunities, places designed to party-hardy are booking quickly. Those group-type hospitality areas are the Picnic Patio, Party Deck, Concourse Suites and Single & Double Suites. The Trash Pandas also offer a $35 membership Kids Club which includes an array of special goodies for each.

Two highly anticipated baseball events are scheduled in 2026 within the confines of Toyota Field. The Alabama Crimson Tide will return to Huntsville-Madison on Tuesday, March 24 at 6:00 p.m. to face the Austin Peay Governors. Tickets are currently on sale for the Tide’s fourth consecutive year to play at Toyota Field. The Trash Pandas will compete in the Global Baseball Series March 30-31 and April 1 when they will welcome both UAH and Alabama A&M, as well as, the Toyota Red Cruisers, the official corporate amateur baseball team based in Japan. This event marks a milestone in international sports and cultural exchange, featuring the first-ever commercial exhibition series by a Japanese Industrial League team on American soil and first foreign team to play at Toyota Field.
