Bob Jones falls in girls soccer; area softball starts

MADISON – Bob Jones was shut out 4-0 by Oak Mountain in a second-round game of the Class 7A girls playoffs Thursday. The Lady Eagles improved to 23-1-1, while the Lady Patriots finished the season 10-10-2.

Today’s action has a girls and boys doubleheader at Madison Academy and a home game for the Bob Jones boys.

Meanwhile, area softball tournaments begin today with Madison Academy the lone local team hosting. Bob Jones, James Clemens and Sparkman all travel. All four teams seek a top-two finish and a berth in the North Regionals in Florence.
