New visiting clubhouse opens at Toyota Field
MADISON – Mayor Ranae Bartlett and Rocket City Trash Pandas General Manager Garrett Fahrmann cut the ribbon on the new visiting clubhouse at Toyota Field on Monday, June 29.
The clubhouse has been several years in the making in an effort to meet updated MiLB stadium standards that included upgraded facilities and dedicated facilities for female staff. Several renderings of the clubhouse were considered by the previous city council, including a four-story option.
Ultimately, in May of 2025, the previous council decided on a one-story clubhouse along third baseline. Construction included making the field area expandable to accommodate potential future football games and increase the venue’s versatility, expanding the open-air concourse to improve crowd flow, and leaving room to add on to the locker rooms in the future.
“What’s important is that this facility has been able to grow as needs and requirements change,” said Mayor Bartlett.
The clubhouse will get put to use this week as the Trash Pandas face off against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, June 30-July 5. The clubhouse can also be expected to be used next year when Toyota Field hosts the SEC Softball Tournament.
