The Salvation Army of Huntsville to open registration for Christmas Angel Tree
HUNTSVILLE – The Salvation Army of Huntsville, serving Madison County, will begin accepting applications for its annual Angel Tree program on Monday, Oct. 5, giving community members the opportunity to provide Christmas gifts to children, families, and seniors in need.
The Angel Tree program serves children 14 years of age and younger and seniors ages 65 and older. Each participant’s wish list is shared with the community, allowing donors to adopt a child, a senior, or an entire family and provide gifts for the holiday season.
This year, registration will be available both in person and online.
Online Registration
Available Oct. 5 at saangeltree.org. You will need to enter your zip code to get started.
In-Person Registration
Dates: October 19 – 23 (Spanish speaking applicants on 23 and 24 only)
Hours: 9 am – 3 pm

The Salvation Army is asking registrants to have all their documents on hand before signing up.
Registration Requirements for a Child (14 and Younger):
- Parent or legal guardian’s photo ID
- Proof of current address (utility bill, lease, etc.)
- Proof of all household income (including food stamps)
- Birth certificate or Medicaid card
- Clothing/shoe sizes and toy suggestions
Registration Requirements for a Senior (65 and Older):
- Proof of ID
- Proof of current address (utility bill, lease, etc.)
- Proof of all household income (including food stamps)
- Birth certificate or Medicaid card
- Clothing/shoe sizes and gift suggestions
