Presenters encourage visitors to attend in costume for “Trunk or Treat” at Madison Methodist Church, 127 Church St. Planned for Oct. 30, the event will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

In a new location this year, the “City of Madison Trail of Treats” will be held on the football field at James Clemens High School on Oct. 22 from 6 to 8 p.m. Madison Parks and Recreation Department arranges this activity. The city’s Facebook post promises “the same great tradition with more room for everyone – a night full of fun and treats.”
Perfect for a family outing, this ‘trail’ is an inclusive event for residents of all abilities. According to the event’s Facebook page, “last year, you showed up in a BIG way — and we heard you! We know the event was crowded and there simply wasn’t enough room for everyone to comfortably enjoy the fun. So, this year, we’ve moved to a bigger location with more space for our community!”
The Trail of Treats will be set up around the field’s track with not only candy but also children’s attractions and vendor exhibits. “Costumes and decorating are highly encouraged. We can’t wait to see our community come together for a spooky, inclusive night of fun,” according to Parks and Rec.
