William Morrow; Oct. 8, 2010

William “Wally” Michael Morrow, 57, of Madison, formerly of Columbus, Ga., passed away Friday, Oct. 8.

After his military service, during which he received the Army Commendation Medal, he and his wife, Ginger, moved to Huntsville in 1978. Wally graduated with honors from UAH in 1986, receiving his engineering degree as a member of Tau Beta Pi. He was employed at Redstone Test Center, where he was the recipient of the Commander’s Award for civilian service. Wally was a well-respected and loved member of the test business for over 30 years, a mentor, a “work dad”, softball coach, loving husband, father, son, brother and most definitely an avid UGA fan.

Preceded in death by his father, Willie Mac Morrow, he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Ginger Morrow; daughters, Megan Morrow Young and husband Paul and Lori Morrow Nobles and husband Don; mother, Ruby Morrow; sister, Jackie Morrow Jones; and grandchildren, Grayson Young, Lauren Kelley and Angel Nobles and Nick Nobles.

As Wally would say “it is only logical” to have a celebration of his life at Humphrey’s on Washington Street in downtown Huntsville at 7 p.m. on Monday.

Memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, at jdrf.org.

“How ’bout them DAWGS!”
