Liberty Middle School adds Christina McBeth as Assistant Principal

MADISON – An educator for 29 years, Christina Williams McBeth is now working as Assistant Principal at Liberty Middle School.

McBeth is proud to serve in this role at Liberty and “delights in working with the faculty, staff, student body and families to ensure a safe, encouraging and prosperous learning environment.” (lms.madisoncity. k12.al.us/assistant-principals) She vows diligence in establishing relationships with students, staff and ‘Liberty Nation.’

Previously, McBeth taught both regular and honors English classes for ninth-graders in Huntsville City Schools and Madison County School System.

She earned the honor of “Teacher of the Year” multiple times: for Edward H. White Middle School in three consecutive years, 1998 – 2000; “Walmart Teacher of the Year,” Sparkman Drive branch; “District Teacher of the Year in Secondary Education,” Huntsville High School, 2015; and “Ninth Grade School Teacher of the Year,” Sparkman Ninth Grade School, 2019.

McBeth is known for her encouraging personality in every aspect of her duties. She positively supports teachers and their classroom instruction. Her manner with students promotes excellence and gives a constant validation for all youth.

Other responsibilities that Mc-Beth has held include leading small groups on accreditation teams; substituting for administrators in Huntsville City Schools; and leading fundraisers for cancer research. New areas of interests for McBeth are curriculum specialist, grant writing or becoming a telewriter.

At Alabama A&M University, Mc-Beth earned a master’s degree in English/language arts education.

McBeth has three adult children: Brian Jr., Briace and Brionya. Away from work, Christina enjoys reading, teaching Sunday School, crocheting, watching sports and spending time with her pet puppy, Bostyn. McBeth said she is ready to “roar and soar with the Liberty Lions and encourage them to achieve greater success.”
