Curfew lifted for most of Madison County

The countywide curfew set by the Madison County Sheriff Department has been lifted.

The curfew for Huntsville and Madison city is no longer in effect, but parts of Madison County will remain under curfew. Some areas of the county are still without power, so areas such as Anderson Hills and the Lockhart Community still have to abide by the 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. curfew.

Huntsville police will be conducting heavy patrols in areas where power has not been reinstated.

Huntsville Utilities released a statement that said their goal is to have 95 percent of power resorted to all customers, with the exception of the major tornado-damaged areas, by Wednesday morning.

Below is a list of those places still under curfew:

Smith Vasser Road

Anderson Hills Subdivision

Lockhart Community

Old Eli Road

Ginner Row

Bollweevil Lane

Welcome Home Village

Yarbrough Road

Stovall Road

Fords Chapel Road

Palcid Drive

Oakcrest Road
