Ross, Panera Bread and Massage Envy sign on for The Shoppes of Madison

GBT Realty Corporation, developer of The Shoppes of Madison, has signed three additional leases to join the anchor store, Target.

The newest tenants include a 22,000-square foot Ross Dress for Less store, which features designer and brand name fashions for men women and children, and Massage Envy, a national day spa providing affordable massage and spa services.

In addition, Panera Bread is preparing to break ground on one of the Shoppes of Madison’s last remaining out-parcels with a freestanding 4,000 square foot bakery-cafe. The new restaurant will feature drive-through convenience in addition to outdoor patio seating.

This quick-casual restaurant chain showcases the art and craft of bread making, and was recently named Most Popular by Zagat in its annual, consumer-generated Fast-Food Survey. Panera was also awarded a #1 ranking for Best Salad and Best Facilities, and a #2 ranking for Healthy Options, Best Value and Best Breakfast Sandwich.

Together, these tenants join Target and 13 additional local, regional and national retailers, to bring the shopping center’s occupancy to 95 percent. GBT Realty is also in discussions with several national and regional restaurants for the one remaining out-parcel and expects to have an agreement in the next few months.

George B. Tomlin, a Nashville-based real estate executive, formed GBT in 1987. Based in Brentwood, Tenn., GBT develops throughout the country. Over the past few years, GBT has been involved with the development, construction, leasing and management of more than 20 million square feet of retail development, including grocery-anchored shopping centers, neighborhood centers, single tenant buildings and regional power centers.

The Shoppes of Madison will open in March 2012. For more information, visit gbtrealty.com.
