Chamber Bucks are win-win for businesses, shoppers

The Madison Chamber of Commerce and “Madison County Record / Madison Record” are collaborating on “MCC Chamber Bucks” to entice customers through businesses’ doors.

MCC Chamber Bucks work like coupons that feature a business’ service, product or offer. “We’ll accept one business category per quarter to feature five companies,” chamber director Susie Masotti said.

This new program is open to 20 chamber members only on a first-come, first-serve basis. “This program will bring the customer into your business, increasing your visibility in the community,” Masotti said.

“Each new subscriber of the ‘Madison County Record’ will receive five Chamber Bucks each quarter,” president and publisher Erica Slone said. This promotion will run through February 2013. Subscriptions are available by calling 256-772-6677, mailing the newspaper clipping or online at MadisonCountyRecord.com.

Madison Publications will develop a house ad that lists companies supporting the coupon. “This house ad will run in both the ‘Madison Record’ and the ‘Madison County Record’ for 12 consecutive weeks,” Slone said. “The business can pick the quarter of the year that will best serve your company’s interest.”

In addition, the “Madison County Record” will give a window cling decal stating that the business is a “MCC Chamber Bucks” program member. Chamber Bucks will be advertised in the “Madison Record” and “Madison County Record” newspapers, along with their websites and Facebook pages.

“Chamber Bucks will help bring customers to your business establishment,” Masotti said.
