McFerran running for District 7 Council seat

Sheila McFerran, director/program development with Still Serving Veterans, is running for Madison City Council District 7.

McFerran has been a longtime resident of Madison/Morgan County since 1980. She relocated to Madison city in 1997.

“I am honored to be a candidate for this great City of Madison, and I will serve the people well,” she said.

McFerran is a graduate of Huntsville/Madison County Leadership Focus Class 5 and Leadership Class 19. She also served as president/CEO of The Volunteer Center of Madison County, director of development for the Huntsville Museum of Art, launched the Senior Friends Program at Crestwood Medical Center and worked for many non-profits in Madison County. Sheila has 25-plus years of community service leadership and is excited to be at a time in her life where she can give back to a city that has given so much to her over the years.

McFerran is married to Joe Shelley and the couple has six children: Brent, Lora, Shawn, Megan, Brendan and Deirdre.
