Radio-control hobbyists visit Bible Schools

NARCA flew radio-control airplanes at Asbury UMC Bible school.

This summer, North Alabama Radio Control Association (NARCA) has provided educational and service support to local communities at Vacation Bible School sessions in Fayetteville, Tenn. and Madison.

Archie Phillips, Cliff Lanham, Kevin Reynolds, Dick Novak and Rick Nelson flew for two Bible schools. Lanham said the event at Asbury United Methodist Church in Madison was a “well-attended show with about 800 total spectators enjoying the air acrobatics of radio-control planes.”

“Aircraft casualties were minimal and minor. The kids seemed to like that, too,” Lanham said. For more information about radio-control flying, send email to Lanham at clanham@knology.net.
