Space Walk of North Alabama bounces on party scene

When Space Walk of North Alabama throws a party, everyone kicks up their heels for a good time.

The Dreamhouse Bounce

“Children love inflatables. No matter what kind we have, they love to jump and play,” co-owner Chris Wells said.

Halloween, opening days and church events are their main occasions but birthday parties are steadily climbing. Space Walk also accommodates school events, carnivals, family reunions, block parties, grand openings, vacation Bible schools, summer camps and fundraisers.

Wells and Kevin Hawkins own Space Walk of North Alabama, a local branch of a larger company. Jennifer Hawkins works as secretary.

Their wet/dry slide stands 18 feet tall, the same height as the Li’l Splash Slide. Girls will swoon for the Dreamhouse Bounce, a huge version of their doll’s homeplace. Boys and girls can climb the rock wall and slide, along with the miniature obstacle course and tiger bounce. For superhero fans, the Batman combo unit will be loads of fun.

Space Walk also can provide 10-by-10 foot canopies, sound/PA system, Sno-Cone machine and concessions, advertising inflatables, games and numerous other items.

“With more than 5,000 pieces of equipment available, we can satisfy almost any request. There’s nothing we like to do more,” Wells said.

“We strive to make your party one to remember for years to come. Our company was the inventor of inflatables so we have the best equipment to offer you,” Wells said. Safety is top priority for Space Walk, which has more than $2 million in insurance.

Wells and Hawkins said their success relies on “making the customer happy with the rental of clean, reliable inflatables. We want to treat our customers in a way they would love to use us for their next event.”

Space Walk rents by the day, unlike other companies that only rent by the hour, Wells said. “We want our customers to enjoy our products before and after their party hours.”

Office hours for Space Walk of North Alabama are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, call 256-812-9255, send e-mail to spacewalknal@herecomesfun.com or visit herecomesfun.com or Facebook/SpaceWalkofNorthAlabama.
