Madison has a finalist competing for the grand prize for the best original jingle about Luden’s throat lozenges.

Brent Morgan was selected as a top 10 finalist for the La La Luden’s Jingle Contest.

“I am very excited to be one of the finalists,” said Morgan. “Entering this contest was perfect for me because growing up, Luden’s was, and still is, the only lozenge I could bare to taste that also helped my throat.”

To vote for Morgan’s jingle, visit ludens.com/contest, select vote now, and then select his name, Brent. People can vote once per day until Aug. 17.

Morgan said a friend saw the contest posted online and told him about it, and as a music teacher he felt he should enter.

The contest’s thee is “Surprisingly Soothing, Simply Delicious.” All jingles had to be original, 30-60 seconds long, and express a passion for the throat drop.

Morgan’s competition in the contest includes people using various talents, including instruments, video technology and comedy.

The grand prize for the contest is $2,500, tickets to see one of America’s top talent search shows, a year’s supply of Luden’s products, and the winner’s jingle being featured on Luden’s website.

Morgan teaches guitar, piano and drums at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church on Old Railroad Bed Road.
