Library hosts family-friendly painting for snowman, reindeer

Madison Public Library is hosting a holiday painting session for families on Dec. 1 at 10 a.m.

Youth Services Librarian Mandy Pinyan will lead participants in step-by-step acrylic painting of “fingerprint snowmen” or reindeer on small square canvases. “It will be festive. We’ll play holiday music and have cookies,” she said.

“These small canvases can be used as tree ornaments, on a mantle, on a tiny easel or other favorite spot for display,” Pinyan said. In class, participants can hot-glue a ribbon to create an ornament.
