Registration open for Connect2013 on Jan. 25

Dignitaries, politicians, business owners and area residents will walk the red carpet for Connect2013 at Davidson Center for Exploration in Huntsville on Jan. 25.

The evening’s highlight will be the inaugural State of the City Address by Madison Mayor Troy Trulock.

For the fourth year, Madison Chamber of Commerce is hosting Connect2013 at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. The night will open with a cocktail reception from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by dinner, featured speakers and Trulock’s address.

“This yearly event is an opportunity to celebrate Connections between the city, regional and local governments, area businesses, residents and those interested in investing and moving to our area,” Trulock said. “We are increasing our focus on people and strengthening the relationship between government, businesses and the residents we serve.”

Trulock believes Madison is a great place to live because of an outstanding quality of life, “a result of the amazing team and teamwork that we have in the Tennessee Valley, as well as our outstanding Madison citizens and businesses.” At Connect2013, he will recognize some outstanding citizens and “provide insights into the exciting growth that we are planning for 2013.”

Connect 2013 “provides a great social venue to connect with friends and businesses, as well as hear firsthand the future plans for the city,” Trulock said.

The presenting sponsor is Landers McLarty Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM. BB&T is sponsoring the mayor’s invitation-only, pre-event reception. Gold sponsors are Madison Hospital and NeuroVizion.
