MADISON – Painters, sketchers and designers have earned top honors for visual arts in the Reflections fine arts contest.

The National PTA sponsors Reflections.

For children in the primary age classification, Sherwood Dang at Columbia Elementary School won first place for “From Here to Eternity.” Emily Yue at West Madison Elementary School took second place for “The Magic Moment of Christmas,” while Simran Jain at Horizon Elementary earned third place for “Egg Hatches into Chick.”

Receiving honorable mentions for primary ages, Jessica Wang at Rainbow Elementary School submitted “The Magic Moment,” and Chloe Song at Mill Creek Elementary School entered “First Step”.

For intermediate ages, Alice Zhang at Columbia won first place for “Meteor Shower.” Victoria Lee at Rainbow claimed second place for “A Sweet Victory.” Third-place winner Rebecca Wang with “Touch Animals” attends Columbia. Both winning honorable mentions, Jamie Clark from Horizon entered “Discovery of Fire” and Joshua Lin from Madison Elementary School submitted “The Magical Moment.”

First-place winner Kylie Bolyard at Liberty Middle School led visual artists in the middle division. Bolyard created “Feeling the Truth.” Second-place finalist Emily Pugh at Discovery Middle School entered “Eyes of Love.” From Mill Creek, Mary Ellen McAuliffe captured third place for “Reunion,” and Hannah Howe received an honorable mention for “The Magic of a Moment.”

For entries in the senior division, Paige Koesters at Bob Jones High School took first place for “A Flower’s Diamonds.” Second-place artist Maya Ballard at James Clemens High School submitted “The Leap.” Also from Bob Jones, April Emanuel took third place for “Thinking of Ideas,” and Rachel Harold received an honorable mention for “Just Kids.”
