MADISON – Cindi Sanderson with CWS Interiors recommends a formula for home decorating.

“A home should reflect the individuals’ personality, while mixing old and new together for a lived-in look,” Sanderson said. CWS Interiors is located in Jacklyn’s Keepsakes, 108 Main St. in downtown Madison.

Among its accents and accessories, CWS Interiors offers vases, trays, containers, wall decor, frames, artificial fruits and vegetables, finials, planters, lamps and accent bowls. Towels with whimsical sayings and ‘distressed’ birdhouses are popular.

For antiques, shoppers will find small accent tables, such as a round, six-legged table with an inlaid, parquet surface in cherry. From antique searches and markets, Sanderson also has found vanity stools, desks, chairs, small servers and chests.

Made-in-the-USA soy candles burn up to 75 hours with soothing fragrances, like vanilla pound cake, citrus & sage, cinnamon bun and almond creme. “I haven’t found one candle yet that I don’t like,” Sanderson said.

“Accessories can be decorative, functional or both,” she said. “I love it when a customer comes back to me and says, ‘I love the vase (or other accessory) I got from you. It works perfectly in my family room.'”

The Sandersons have two children. Adam Sanderson and wife Julie have one son, Luke. Daughter Mollie is married to Landon Carter. Adam and Mollie are graduates of Bob Jones High School and the University of North Alabama.

Cindi and husband James were in Bob Jones’ first graduating class. She was inducted into the Bob Jones Hall of Fame in 2004. The Sandersons are active members of Madison United Methodist Church, where Cindi serves on the board of trustees.

Cindi has served on the Madison Education Committee and numerous policy groups and president for several Madison PTAs. In 2011, she coordinated the 75th anniversary celebration at Madison Elementary School, where she has worked in the office since 1991.

Sanderson’s merchandise also is available at Belle Mina Station and Champagne Antiques in Athens. For more information, visit Facebook/CWS Interiors. Click “Like” to view photos of new merchandise.
