Madison woman killed in wreck with HPD on 565

MADISON — A Madison women who was driving on the wrong side of the interstate was killed in the early morning hours of March 26 when she struck an Huntsville Police cruiser.

Tabitha Rhodes, 29, of Madison collided with Huntsville Police Lt. Corey Harris at around 2:30 a.m. on March 26 near the County Line Rd. area of I-565. Harris was was transported to the Huntsville Hospital with non-life threatening injuries while Rhodes was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators still are trying to determine the cause of the accident.
