MADISON – On May 1, the Madison Beautification and Tree Board will once again accept nominations for Yards of Madison. The program runs through September and is open to all Madison city residents.

“It’s that time of year again!” beautification board member Rose Berry said. “Homeowner associations or individuals simply can nominate any exceptional yard, including their own, that they feel enhances the overall appearance and beauty of their neighborhood or other areas within Madison. There is no judging involved.”

To nominate a deserving yard, email to roseb@knology.net with the nominee’s name, address, phone number and email address, along with person’s name who is nominating the property. “A certificate of appreciation, signed by Mayor Troy Trulock and the beautification board president, as well as a letter of congratulations, will be mailed to each nominee,” Berry said.

Each month, “The Madison Record” publishes a list of Yards of Madison nominees.

“The board looks forward to recognizing our neighbors who work endless hours in their yards, bringing pride to the City of Madison,” Berry said.
