MADISON – Guests at MadFood on June 18 can savor barbecue to burritos and cheesecake to chocolate.

Sponsored by Madison Chamber of Commerce, MadFood will assemble local restaurateurs and caterers to share their taste sensations from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Best Western-Plus, 9035 Madison Blvd.

“Everyone can sample tantalizing dishes, as well as local brews. Join us for MadFood — a culinary delight that will tempt your taste buds,” Leigh Thigpen said. Thigpen is events, marketing and communications coordinator for the chamber.

The event will benefit the chamber, which in turn promotes area businesses and encourages economic growth, Thigpen said. MadFood will “highlight local food services, hoping to attract new and returning customers. The local economy will be boosted as patrons frequent these favorite restaurants.”

For south-of-the-border flair, guests can try Buenavista Cantina, El Olmeca and My Old San Juan. Thomas Pit BBQ will have its hickory-smoked fare. For more American dishes, guests can try Nothing But Noodles, Main Street Cafe, Apple Lane Farms and the Port of Madison.

For contemporary choices, The Scene, Sady’s Bistro and Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe will offer signature dishes. For food from the Far East, MadFood executive sponsor Four Leaves Asian Restaurant and Sakura Japanese Steakhouse will participate.

Endless Catering will prove its cooking skill. Madison City Farmers Market will bring garden-to-table choices. Papa Murphy’s Pizza and Which Wich?  Superior Sandwiches will serve traditional favorites.

For dessert, Whistle Stop Sweet Shop and Nothing Bundt Cakes promise to please.

Tea With Thee by Victoria and Organo Gold Coffee will share their mellow blends. Guests can try local beverages from Blue Pants Brewery and Old Black Bear Brewery, along with Sun Drop Bottling, Supreme Beverage and Turner Beverage companies.

Casual attire is welcomed.

Bob Jones High School Culinary Department will receive a portion of proceeds.

Tickets are $20 for chamber members and $25 for other individuals or at the event. For tickets, call 256-325-8317 or visit madisonalchamber.chambermaster.com/events/details/madfood-102.
